Where is Syosset, New York 11791?

Syosset is in
Nassau County on Long Island, which is the southern most part of New York State. With a central location providing easy access to New York City, some of the nation's best beaches, and many area attractions, Syosset is an ideal place to live for anyone. Syosset and Woodbury are often interrelated since both hamlets are within the Syosset School District.

Syosset has a history dating back to the mid 1700s. Today the town population is approximately 38,000 with 8,500 families. The commute to New York City via the Long Island Railroad is roughly 55 minutes.  The Long Island Expressway and the Northern State Parkway
are within a 2 mile radius offering easy access to all of Long Island, Queens, and New York City.

R&D, manufacturing and thriving technology firms are just a few of the opportunities available to those individuals looking for employment close to their residence.  World famous Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories and the Court Houses all within minutes away are attracting professionals in the legal, bioresearch and medical sectors.

Emergency facilities include Syosset hospital, Nassau County Police Precinct, and three fire stations. Syosset Fire Department provides fire protection and advanced emergency rescue services.

Residential housing architecture runs the full gamut of modern, post modern and traditional.  Further history and nostalgia can be found on the Syosset Scrapbook website at syossetscrapbook.com
